Updating the SPT2 GPS Device Firmware

Listed below are step by step instructions on how to update the firmware on SPT2 GPS devices.

To access Heart-rate features in GameTraka you need to take the following steps as only new firmware supports Heart-rate integration.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER OR LAPTOP IS PLUGGED INTO POWER AND DO NOT LET YOUR COMPUTER GO TO SLEEP DURING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE.

Note: If you update your SPT2 device firmware you must update your GameTraka mobile application for any units to display live data.

STEP 1: Open the SPT Bridge application

STEP 2: Select the device/s that you wish to update.

This is done by using the yellow select boxes on the right hand side of the device list.

Click 'Update' on the top your your device list when you have finished selecting the devices to update.

STEP 3: Confirm & read important information

You will be shown a list of devices on the left hand side of your screen and information relating to the firmware update process on the left.

Please double check you have the correct devices you wish to update selected and carefully read all the information relating to firmware updates for your SPT2 devices.

Click 'Update' in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. 

STEP 4 - Commence the Update Process

The next screen will provide you with details of how many devices are being updated and the estimated time to complete the process.

You will be promoted to confirm that you wish to update your SPT2 device/s firmware.

If you do wish to update, again click 'Update'.

IMPORTANT: If you are updating on a laptop remember to plug your computer in to power & do not let your computer go to sleep. If you are updating on a desktop computer, do not let your computer go to sleep.

STEP 5: Update in Progress

When updating your firmware, the Bridge application will show you the progress of the devices being updated including the estimated time to completion.

Please do not disconnect or interrupt the devices while the firmware update is taking place as this may cause damage to your SPT2 device.

STEP 6: Update is Complete

Once the firmware update process has finished you will be presented with a screen showing you the units that you have updated and the current date of the firmware version.

Your SPT2 device firmware update is now complete and you can now access the enhanced features and updates for your devices.
